Well, I was hoping it wouldn’t have to come to this, but I’ve made a GoFundMe page to help pay for the surgery to remove my wisdom teeth. I’ve been in constant pain for the last month, and I can’t afford to have them removed.

I desperately need my wisdom teeth removed. While they were coming in, I was living off of a very poor diet, and barely got enough nutrition to keep myself going. I also have severe anxiety, and one of the manifestations of it is nausea. For a long while, the only thing that helped was ginger ale. That, mixed with the poor diet, has left my teeth, particularly my wisdom teeth, in a very poor state, especially one, which has already shattered.

For the last six months, I’ve been in a lot of pain, but the worst of it started last month. I’ve been in constant pain, unable to talk, eat, yawn, or even smile without feeling like there’s a burning ice pick in my jaw. I’m a commission artist by trade, which barely brings in any income at all, so I don’t have the funds to be able to pay to have my wisdom teeth removed. Unfortunately, that also means that I can’t afford any insurance that would have helped me to take care of this.

A month ago, when the pain finally came to a head, I had X-rays and a consult with a dental surgeon who said that all of my wisdom teeth needed to be removed, as they’re all impacted. I was given the estimated cost of the surgery, $2745, and told to make the appointment for the surgery as soon as possible, as the shattered tooth could become infected quickly and easily, even with proper dental care.

Until my wisdom teeth are removed, because of the pain, I can’t work on any commissions, which means I have don’t have any income at all.

The $3,000 goal is to cover the surgery, as well as any pain medication I’ll be prescribed afterward.
