So after over 5 years of, admittedly really heavy use, my headphones, a pair of Sony MDR-XB500s have given out, and need to be replaced.
I'm currently split between getting the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x or getting the V-MODA Crossfade LP2 to replace them. Currently leaning towards the latter, due to the customizable plates
So if you'd like to help me decide on some new headphones, and have personal experience with either of them, lemme know what they're like.
-If you'd like to help me get a pair, and get yourself some art in the process, commission prices can be found on my profile. The first two commissions will be done by Sunday night.

I've had a pair of V-Moda Crossfade LPs for a couple years now. They've been serving me well. I don't have any experience with the ATs.
My biggest complaint about them is the heavy bass. It's not bad or muddy, but can overwhelm other details. That only really matters if you're basically doing nothing but listening to music though (and I have Grado SR-60s for that). For day-to-day they're solid.
Some of the plastic around the headbands has chipped off, but I'm also unkind to the headphones, with lots of travel outside of their case. I've heard complaints about the ear cups being too small and uncomfortable but that's never been an issue for me personally.
Hopefully that helps!
