Adopts/YCH/Custom Designs??? by MadMeeper
Heeeyy guys Im curious to know how effective you guys think Adopts/YCH/and Custom Designs are. I do need to generate some more cash and I was thinking about auctions and/or just autobuy functions and?? Yeah, just wondering if you guys think those would be very effective at all, or if you know anyone who would be interested
I do definitley need to have normal commissions again happen as well so I'll probably start advertizing it

Huh, I wonder if it's the appeal of knowing what you're going to get? I think it's also dependent on what your audience is as well. I also don't know how to advertise it really, I would think you'd need an audience for it?

auctions on anything always seem to go a lot farther.
adoptables also seem to do pretty well, however, you've got to kinda build up an audience for that.I've also seen some artists sell cheap doodles of sorts with lots of success. like, a miniature pixel or a very quick headshot sketch for a few dollars.
something like that that's very quick to do, and cheap.I don't know from personal experience, tho.

I've seen people buy YCH slots for double what the artist charges on a custom commission. Like, artists who sell a soft-shaded single character pin-up for $40 sometimes end up making $120 on it. Auctions tend to be the way to do it.
