Despite the very best efforts of our hotel-room-reserving roommate, we will not be at the Courtyard this year thanks to very the sketchy and suspicious hotel reservation system AC used. Instead we are stuck at the Doubletree, which is pretty sucky, but hey, at least we -have- a room.

Despite how short of a walk the AC staff likes to claim the Doubletree is away from the convention center, I am not at all looking forward to traverse back and forth through downtown Pittsburgh many times a day just to drop shit off in our room, especially since I usually call it a night at about 4 in the morning, and I am usually pretty sauced most nights. Walking through Pittsburgh at night by myself while possibly drunk? Awesome. I've been to the Doubletree many times, and while it isn't too bad of a hotel, it is not at all close to the con itself, and the rooms (and in general the whole hotel) pale in comparison to the Courtyard. Also, walking from the Doubletree to the convention center will be really fun in suit I'd imagine.

I'm curious as to how this is going to go over, since no one in our group is really happy about the arrangement. It really bothers me because to me the Courtyard is one of the staples of my AC trip every year. I am a creature of habit, and this is a change I am not looking forward to.

Long story short, first world problems pertaining to not wanting to get off my ass and walk more than 20 feet to the con. Alcohol induced AC ranting over. Back to bunnies and shit.
