Signal boost: A request for any NoVa furs... by Poetigress

Reposting this from my husband jarrellwoods's FA account:

...Please widely distribute/signal boost this message...

My employer is going to be relocating me to a new work location as early as May of this year. It's almost a done deal that I will be working in Reston Virginia. This is at least 4 miles longer than I currently drive one way, a minimum of 90 miles (180 round trip).

My car has now traveled 368k miles. I'm looking for any friendly fur's house/apartment where I can stay 1 or 2 nights per week to try to prolong my car's life, even if just by a few months.

If you live in Reston, Herndon, Dranesville, Great Falls, Sterling, Dulles, even as far west as Ashburn or Leesburg, your location is optimal for me.

I have all of my own bedding. I'd arrive showered, fed and ready for bed. If you don't have an extra couch, literally an extra corner of carpet, just room enough for a raccoon to snooze, is all I need.

I don't smoke or use drugs. I get along well with cats or dogs. I can sleep through most anything. I can pay you with sharing muffins or bagels, or other things from Martin's bakery which I pass by in my commute. I am happy to provide the reference of another fur whos apartment I used to stay a couple of nights per week before he moved to the west coast.

Please let me know if you can help beginning in May. Contact: jarrell[at]myrainbowark.com

I would ask that he stay with a nonsmoker, just because I have asthma/reactive airways and can't deal with the smell of cigarette smoke (ecigs are fine). He does snore, but not all that bad. And I can definitely vouch for that "sleep through most anything" part. ("That was quite a storm we had last night." "There was a storm?") XD

Thanks to all who help spread the word, and to those who already have. >^_^<
