I'm still alive.

School's finally over and I'm free from it's grasp (just waiting on the diploma, whenever they decide to mail it to me that is :T)

Since then I've been busy with going to family functions and a few cons to hang out with friends to unwind but I think it's time I pick up the pace and get back having more of an online presence. I've worked out a temporary schedule that I've been attempting to follow so I can work out a good amount of drawing during the week as well as exercise and other stuff, it's mostly an experiment to see how prolific I can be in a week given all the time I'll have, if things works out well I might be able to pull together a routine to get a patreon started > <

In other news, I'll finally be opening up for commissions, if we've spoke in the past about getting pics from me this will be your time to bring it up again as I'm horrible with remembering stuff so I'll be documenting stuff in my own trello. Right now, these commissions will have a flat rate of $25/hour of work into it, this rate will be applied to all the pics I draw, including sketches, line art and coloring. This price is experimental and is subject to change depending on how well I can dish these out. If you're interested in getting a commission from me please send me an email at chizikh[at]yahoo.ca

here's a rough break down of what I usually do for a full-color, one character commission with no backgrounds:

Rough Sketch of poses - 15 -20 mins

Refining & detail - 30-40 mins

Inking - 10-30 mins

Flat coloring - 15-30 mins

Simple shading - 30-60 mins

Rendering - 1 hour+

All of these stats are just past estimates and depends on how complex your character or the specified scene you wanted, and I would need to spend more time if you wanted a background included.

The more time I get to spent on a piece the better I can flesh things out and make them prettier, I will also be using a cashclock plug in and pausing it when I take breaks so you're not going to be screwed out of money if I decided to take a break, these commission will also be livestreamed on picarto.tv while I work so you may check out the process and watch me work, you may also give me input in real time this way but do note that it'll take away from my drawing time if you need me looking at instructions.
