Streams resuming tomorrow (1/8), but first... by Jin&Tonic

OKAY time to get back on the stream wagon for twennyfifteen but first there’s gonna be some changes ‘round here. All changes have been edited into my instructions post, but I’ve decided to outline the most important things here.

Nothing huge, at least not yet, but a few things I’m tweaking in my stream rules to address developments that cropped up last year. First and foremost being:

Premium commission slots will now cost $50 minimum. Yeah, this is probably the biggest one. See, I originally made the premium slots to give people a way to guarantee art as an alternative to the random selection for Pay What You Want pricing without resorting to the old queue system that left so many folks out in the cold if they couldn’t get in line fast enough. Thing is, premium slots have sorta replaced the random selection as the first thing people gravitate to and that wasn’t really what I intended, so this price increase will hopefully choke down on people snapping them up while still leaving the option open to people who want it.

I’m setting a limit of characters per image to no more than four, which is something I’ve been meaning to do for a while now. Honestly it’s a productivity issue where sometimes I end up devoting far too much time to one image and I don’t end up getting anywhere near the amount of stuff done that I need/want to.

I’m requiring complete, visual references for anything drawn. I’ve unofficially been doing this for a while, but I need to make it official in writing. I simply don’t have the time to design anything original for stream commissions, and even if I did, I’d have to charge WAY more for original design work.

And that’s more or less all I’m changing. These rules might change if it turns out I’ve made a terrible mistake and the rules set the stream on fire or something. Either way I’m super eager to get back to work tomorrow so I’ll see you guys then!
