A Little About My Skills & Art by GuberNudel

Greetings and salutations, reader!

I am new to this site, but not to the art world. I've been painting for over 25 years, and my first true love was the brush. I have been a professional face and body painter for over 23 years, and I adore painting pretty much anything, on pretty much anything else. LOL One of my great painting accomplishments was creating a 6x5' exact replica full color logo, font-exact lettering included, backwards, on the inside of a commercial business's front window using only my paints, a ladder, and a razor blade. Bucket list item achieved!

Since I started with painting on people, I didn't learn to lay out a sketch until a few short years ago. I pride myself in my progress in this matter, and continue working daily to improve my skills. I now do both digital and traditional art, and I can do realism, but at the moment, it is not what I am best at, which is cartoon-ish stylings.

If you wish to peruse some of my past face painting work, please feel free to visit my face painting blog.

But creating 2-dimensional art isn't the only thing I can do for you!

* Screen Printing: I've been painting onto fabrics for a good long time, but a couple of years ago, I got into screen printing, and I've never looked back. While it is a laborious process, screen printing is a lot of fun, and allows me to reproduce my art many times, onto various different surfaces. My method is a tad different from the methods of other printers, and I use an ink that merges with the fabric as well as dyes it somewhat, and feels much softer than traditional screen printed items. I am currently doing single-screen process, however I have created a multi-color blend variant that I can perform for you if you would prefer. Want a Color-your-own shirt? How about a ref sheet that you can wear? With a single-color base outline of your species on a shirt, and a set of fabric markers, you can make it happen, and I'll help! I will even make custom screens upon request, and create for you the wearable of your dreams.

* Themed & Steampunk Creations: As a cosplayer and my area's steam queen, I also make baubles, buttons, and decoratives. Some of them even have gears, but only if they look like they actually work in a device (the only way gears are acceptable). In the past I have made things such as bracers, pins, fascinators, medals, rings, guns, and numerous other props.

* CANDY!!!: Vita-FizZ is renowned throughout conventions in the midwest since it's creation over 14 years ago, and word of this delightfully tasty candy is rapidly spreading. There are millions of varieties of candy, but Vita-FizZ is special, because it is a powdered candy with vitamins and a fun foaming action in your mouth! My customers say that it helps prevent and cure hangovers depending on when it is eaten, and that it helps prevent con-crud while giving that energy boost you want when running around at a convention. But while it's sold almost exclusively at conventions, you can still get it to enjoy all year long, by ordering from the inventor and creator of the treat; me! Available in numerous flavors in both regular and naturally-sweetened sugar-free, you can buy it as a single vial, or go crazy and buy a "batch in a bag", which is about 13 vials for the exquisite single flavors, or double that amount for flavor combos. Batch purchases are only available via online order.

Dying Arts
The following skills have fallen out of favor due to automation and cheap manufacturing processes. But cheap doesn't mean quality, and real quality is what you will get when you commission one of the following from me.

* Patches: Embroidery by hand is one of those arts whose quality and feel you just can't reproduce fully by machine. I specialize in 2" sew-on patches that are made to order custom pieces of art. Patches can be created using existing art, a photo, or can I can design the badge for you for an additional fee.

* Custom Stamps: Carving stamps by hand requires planning, an eye for design, the ability to resize anything, and a very, very steady hand. It also requires that you not be afraid of razor-sharp objects, but I digress. I can make a stamp of up to 5", but prefer to stay at or below the 2" range, for ease of handling by you, and ease of shipping my me.

* Bootblacking: After a 2.5yr apprenticeship under an international award-winning master of the art, I graduated to master bootblack status myself a few years ago. What's a bootblack, you ask? A bootblack is someone trained in the fine art of leather care, repair, and restoration. It is my duty and my pride to save you money by keeping your leather (and faux leathers too!) in optimum condition for years to come. It's not just for boots and footwear, but for all leather items. How's this service save you money? Instead of buying new things every year or two, I can make your stuff last for a decade or more! I can do everything from dying and sewing, to hole repair, basic wash and shine if that's your style, and yes, even that much sought-after mirror shine. Want it to be in good condition, but keep that well-worn and scuffed-up appearance? I can do that too.

Thanks for reading, I hope to talk to you soon! :3
