New toys! by DeRiften

I've finally received my new monitor that I was supposed to receive BEFORE my desktop but who ended up having a thousand delays! That thing is 23'', which is a boost from the 16'' I had. Went from 1280x1024 to 1920x1080. It's even 1080p, full HD and everything! Only downside is that I had to change my old Diablo II 800x600 wallpaper I've had since 2004. Yep, almost a whole decade without ever changing my wallpaper, what kind of blasphemous gamer am I? But yeah, I found this kickass Diablo III wallpaper.

So to resume, I went from 16'' to 23'', from 1280x1024 to 1920x1080, from low-res to 1080p full HD, AND from Diablo II to Diablo III. What an upgrade! Man, I can see EVERYTHING. There's not even a scrollbar at the bottom anymore, holy yikes!

Oh and time for even BETTER news! Yesterday I've decided to buy a new mic. A friend of mine who's a complete expert at finding stuff for real cheap (that's why he handles my Minecraft server's advertisement) found a brand new Behringer B-1 for 110$, shipping included. These usually go for over 150$ without the shipping so I jumped on it.

A Behringer B-1. Man, that shit is professional recording quality; with a mount, pop filter and everything! That's gonna be a very, very, veeeeeery, VERY welcome change from the webcam with an integrated mic I bought for 15$ back in 2008. Now you know what to expect once I come back home on March 1st.

Kickass music! (I'm sure the epic quality will make up for my epic rustiness)

Man, everything's going perfectly right now. Now excuse me, I'll go use the full potential of my new awesome monitor by playing a 2002 PC game on 1024x768, 'cause I'm logical like that.

Awesome! I know you had said your mic made your singing sound kinda weird, so this will be great for you! ^^

Since then I've received my mic but it didn't come with the cords. I thought it'd be a USB mic but apparently it's too professional, it requires XLR cords and a media interface (like some external soundcard or something). That thing is waaaaaay better than I thought. I'll buy the missing things once I come back home (the cords are 5$ but the media interface is 60$). I'm gonna have a recording studio on my computer desk, lol.

My friend (Ockniel) says he thinks there is an adapter, so you might try that first. *nods*

I'm no good at finding stuff like these, could I have a link please?

I don't have a link, lol. You'd just have to Google 'xlr to use adapter' and hope for the best.
