One of the biggest problems I have with my artwork is my timing. While I'm pleased with the results, the time it takes to do each piece is crazy; Example: 8 hours for my profile pic. So I try to use the Funday Pawpet Show as a way to improve.

For those who don't know, the Funday Pawpet Show is a 4 hour long puppet show in which shows people submissions near the end. Art work usually consists of subject from the show. Last night I picked a pic of Mutt dressed as Prince in Raspberry Beret song. Needless to say I only got the sketch and half colored when the time limit expired.

So does anyone else have this problem? How do you test and push your limits as an artist?
