but i guess, yeah, i also wish i could think up an eloquent and non-jerkass way to phrase an ideal where whoever wants a trade can gab about why they think their chara is neat/why they'd think it'd be neat for me to draw them/why they'd like to draw rlly any of mine....but not like a you gotta make a lot of smoke to have a fair shot it's just like
an ideal for a trade to be more than a token gesture but an exercise of mutual interest. like tell me all why you love your little fluff butts and maybe make me feel like i'm not just some rando artist who's rando characters you're willing to draw as long as you get free art of yours because feeling like a rando artist who you're only interested in not-paying kinda sucks and I've been there before....
and honestly i'm just kinda bored so I'd like to draw characters that you're actually interested in so I can feel interested in them too??

this goes double here on weas where i know anyone can browse journals. I guess i view trades as a social thing, not a pure art-for-art exchange? ugh. not trying to be an egojerk, this is just an ideal i have i guess.
