Artists: What kind of sketchbooks do you like? by tsunderdog
I'm designing something and one of the things I am including is space for a fairly small sketch book. Because I want to design this to be as compact as possible (and as useful as possible), I want to start with a standard size that most people will find useful.
Are there any sketchbook brands, paper weights/textures, or sizes you particularly like to work in? What mediums do you put in your sketchbooks? (ink, colored pencil, watercolor, something else?) What tools do you like to have on hand?
My guess is that Moleskine "Pocket" size is most popular. Am I correct?

I usually use pencils and sometimes colored pencil in my sketchbooks, but I've really just not bothered to invest in other supplies when I do so much digitally. My small sketchbook is 3.5" x 5.5", although it's a little on the big side to carry without a bag.
