Scheknul Makes Chili by Scheknul

I find on cold, winter nights, warming up with chili is especially nice. So, I figured I'd share my personal recipe with everyone here, to try on their own. Remember, this is a party sized meal, but you can always freeze for later, what you can't eat now.

I'm making chili on my own tonight!

2 LBS 70% lean 20% fat ground beef.

1/2 a white onion (more peppery than yellow).

2 clutches of green onion (cut ends, but keep white bulbs).

1 large can of Tomato Sauce.

1 Can diced tomatoes.

2 Cans red kidney beans (only strain 1).

1 Can of tomato paste.

Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and chili powder as needed.

Method: Dice both types of onion. Pre-cook the hamburger. Strain hamburger, and re-cook to make sure it's fat free/oil free. Mix all contents in a crock pot, and let simmer for 4-6 hours.

This meal feeds 9+ people.

If the chili isn't spicy enough after mellowing in the crock pot after 3hrs, add more cayenne, and chili powder. Remember: You can always add more, you can never take it back out (after mixing). So, use these 2 particular ingredients sparingly when attempting to make the food hotter.
