What's interesting to me is that anything I can find on the 'Incident' at MFF's hotel this year suggests it was a leak, if you go through official channels, but anything moderated or commented on by the furry community is suggesting 'attack.'

Fascinating.

Edit: Okay, so apparently the story has been updated. My bad! I had only seen that it was being treated as a 'leak' rather than anything yet confirmed malicious. Pardon my cynicism.

All the mainstream news sites I've read have mentioned that they found powdered chlorine and that it's suspected it was a deliberate act.

    Not entirely related, but... is there any way it even could have been a leak? Do hotels have chlorine gas pipelines for some reason? I'm trying to imagine what they'd be used for.

      What I was thinking based on what I'd heard was that it might have been part of a pool cleaning system? That'd be liquid chlorine, I would expect, but depending on the nature of the leak it might have ended up gaseous. I'm not much of a chemist!
