My Visit with Buck-Aye by RentonTBuck

For an entire day yesterday, I got to host a visit with the awesome Buck-Aye and had a wonderful time with him. ^^

It all started Sunday night when I went to go pick him up at the train station. He was arriving from Chicago where Midwest Fur Fest was being held (despite the powdered chlorine ordeal, he was nowhere near the incident at the time, so he was fine). His arrival was meant to be around 10 PM, but there was a slight delay, so the train didn't actually arrive until about 10:50 PM. After we got his bags at baggage claim, we headed straight to my house and went right to sleep.

The next morning, we both slept in late and had a light breakfast before we could do our big highlight of the day: filming a video of ourselves in our fursuits. It was a fun experience to go outside in our suits even when it was cold out. Much of the filming involved us having a little rut fight of our own, plus goofing around on the piano by playing on it with our antlers. lol

Afterward, we headed out to the local mall, ate out at Buffalo Wings Bar and Grill and browsed through a couple of stores looking for a specific camera part that he wanted, yet we couldn't find it. We thought about possibly squeezing in one more tourist attraction to visit, yet unfortunately, most of the tourist sites such as a few local museums were closed on Monday (which sucks), so instead, we just headed out to dinner at a local Chinese buffet restaurant.

After a brief stop at a record store (which sells used records, cassette tapes, VHS tapes, DVDs, video games, video game consoles and iPods) and a stop at the gas station for supplies, we headed home so we could watch some episodes of "Rocko's Modern Life" on DVD (it's a favorite show of ours). Then he brought out his laptop so he could do some editing of the photos he took and video footage we shot earlier in the day. Knowing that his train would leave early the next morning, we got to bed around 9:30 PM so we could be up bright and early.

Got up around 5:30 AM this morning so we could both have a light breakfast and then head out to the train station to drop him off. I certainly hope we'll cross paths again someday, maybe at a future convention. :)
