Don't get defensive, I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just try to understand the idea.

Now keep in mind that the "Man" part can be replaced with any privileged party talking to an underprivileged one; "whitesplaining," "straightsplaining," and so on. However, this kind of thing can also come from more unexpected sources, say, an LGBT+ individual who lives in an LGBT+-friendly area talking to one who comes from a place that decidedly isn't, poor white dudes who think they don't have male/white privilege because they're poor even though they do, and so on.

What I'm trying to say is don't lecture people about stuff they understand better than you do holy fucking shit.
