Disheartening lesson I've learned about the furry fandom :/ by ericthemoogle

Apparently, having enough enthusiasm for anthropomorphized animals tends to make one more susceptible to adopting... questionable or problematic ideas into one's worldview.
That is, apparently being a furry makes one more vulnerable to Crank Magnetism:

I mean, it's not as bad as, say, Anonymous and 4chan, where you have pretty much a solid mass of Dunning-Kruger effect resulting in pretty much everyone involved having a worldview composed entirely of delusions (see the previously linked wiki's articles on the Dunning-Kruger effect and Anonymous, then print out and frame the latter's remark about "pretty much a waste of everyone's time" because it's the truest words ever spoken about 4chan), but damn are furries willing to believe some probably-not-for-the-best shit.

Sorry for yet another vent, morale really has not improved much for me recently.
(Also I'd rather not get specific here; this was prompted by a whole bunch of different things anyway.)

It's especially bad when someone's all cutesy and friendly on the surface then reveal that they think some pretty heinous shit beneath it all. It's like, how does one even respond to that?

I wouldnt know, but knowing me, I'd jump the gun and point out their hypocritical behavior
