There's not much for me to do at my grandpa's house. Last year I put together 5 tactical marines. It was hard as my grandpa watches the Hallmark channel almost constantly. I can only take so many Christmas specials before I go nuts. Anyway, he hasn't watched any TV today. Huzzah.

This year I brought most of the Post-Human Republic plastic starter set with me. Dropzone Commander is fun (played it once), and offers a good sci fi battle experience that's different than 40k. I really like the aesthetics of the PHR, though I think I prefer the United Colonies of Man background. Anyway, I say most because I built a Phobos before I left, and left a walker leg behind as well.

So, productivity! Today I built 2 Neptune class dropships, 3 bases of 5 Immortals each, and 1 Juno A1 IVF. There's ony one base of 5 Immortals, 1 Juno, 1 Neptune, and 2 battle walkers left (kicking myself for leaving that leg behind!). One walker will be an Ares antitank model and the other will be the second Phobos anti-air model. I should have them all done before I leave.

I am hoping to have everything at least built, since I have a DZC game tentatively scheduled for a week from tomorrow. I would much rather play with painted models, but I doubt that i'll have time for that!

Anyway, I have yet to figure out a good paint scheme. My buddy has green UCM, purple-ish Scourge and i'm not a fan of the tan/flesh tone that the PHR models have in the book and on the website. Any suggestions? :)

(Edit: all PHR stuff is built, minus one Ares whose leg is back home.)

Happy Turkey Day to everyone tomorrow!
