[TYD] Omnis Ignacia by Lightlender

The ‘Genesis Pearls’ are originally a set of ancient artifacts discovered on Gliese 581g during the First Glacial Era (3972 AD) by the indigenous Luxian Hare tribes. Intricate details surrounding the ancient pair of soccer ball sized red pearls are scarce at best. However, modern examination has revealed that they are not only highly advanced devices that predate both mankind and the Galactic Trade Foundation, but have a carbon imprint outdating anything known in the explored universe itself—making them theoretically older than time and space. The GTF has classified and catalogued them under the Table of Out of Place (OoP) Artifacts under the name: Omnis Ignacia – “The Principal Furnaces”. The Ignacia are seemingly designed to store and amplify energy indefinitely by the hundreds of millions. An early concept test shortly after their catalogue, where an open flame was held beneath them for a meager ten minutes allowed for the production of over an hour’s worth of kinetic energy generated within the spheres. To date, there are very few forms of energy that the Ignacia have not yielded complete compatibility to reserve.

The Stackheap System is a method of utilizing the Omnis Ignacia devised by Professor Da’ath Rathalos in 4079 AD, featuring the latest in nano-technological advancement. Ratholos discovered that nanites were able to directly interface and influence the function of the Ignacia, thereby limiting their function to a specific desired output. Until then, any attempts to activate them resulted in the rampant consumption of matter nearby (either living or inanimate), the exhaustion of test subjects attempting the interface directly, and the narrow avoidance of an accidentally-created black hole, which would seem the primary function of the Ignacia. At long last, Rathalos had discovered a way to discharge the energy contained within the spheres, albeit at the cost of his own life when the Ignacia flooded his laboratory with heated plasma flux.

The Strength Tuning and Adrenal Compiler (STAC) nanites reside primarily within the bloodstream but can configure themselves to mimic virtually any cell they might require, functioning innocuously within any host organism with an extremely low risk of rejection. When active, they first cluster in a loose network around the Omnis Ignacia and gather released energy before dispersing it effectively throughout the body as desired—mostly adrenally. The process has become unofficially known as ‘Stackheaping’ as coined by the first successful test subject, Repthe Lightlender.

The Stackheap System has three primary functions, although it is speculated that it can be configured infinitely more. The functions are listed as: Refrain, Reduce, and Reapply. Refrain is the entirely passive default, allowing for the storage of kinetic energy applied externally to be absorbed. Typically, this is utilized in a very straightforward manner—any punch, blow, strike, or otherwise has a fraction of its kinetic energy siphoned away and stored. Given the durability of the Luxian Hare build, there could not have been a more suitable candidate. Reduce temporarily jettisons the STAC nanites to devour nearby matter, reducing it to its most basic state before returning it to the Ignacia for storage. Reapply again jettisons nanites to manually repurpose stored matter/energy, such as fortifying a handheld item, distributing energy directly to a particular extremity and (theoretically) can be utilized for hacking, rapid cellular repair, and incendiary discharge.

In addition to Stackheap, there is also Overheap which is an new experimental mode devised by Repthe Lightlender. While he has yet to actively use it, there are footnotes in his personal files that state it would allow him to temporarily 'become light'. Any and all findings he has sent to the GTF before his defection are highly classified under top-tier encryption.
