some artists make me sad. by ClearKat
That feeling you get when you look at someone's art that you used to admire back in the day and you're like "wow they were really good, the colors are great here whoa and that anatomy!" and then you look at their art and artstyle progress and you see that they lost alot of things and their art has become seizure psychedelic rainbow puke colored and the anatomy has disappeared.
And you realize the only reason that is even a thing is because they allowed their fanbase and popularity to influence them so much that they rush to throw something Bright and overly colorful out rather than take their time and make it the best they can.
it really makes me sad to watch someone's art change before my eyes like that.
Now i know to them its progress but to me its a situation of Regression.

Mmhm thats what has happened to all my favorite artists that got popular. like I knew one and her art was still colorful but it wasn't rainbow LSD coloration and the anatomy was Amazing and she was a really cool person. but as she got popular it went down hill :< now I don't even talk to her because she got really accusatory and nasty with me :{

i don't necessarily mind when artists do this. As long as they're doing what makes them happy i'm happy! It's good to try new things and develop a style!

What usually makes me sad is when I see artists give up, or don't try to improve themselves when they have the potential to be great.

that too. like they get to a point and then are like "oh nope im done this is the best I can do" and don't even attempt. :<

i feel you... i had an artist i really used to like, which drew nice art and stuff, but his art de-evolved alongside with him, and he possibly stopped being a nice person
