Busy Thanksgiving, busier aftermath, sudden respite by DeRiften

It's no use going by a day-to-day format since all week was spent either making the animation project better or not doing anything productive. After getting sick of my crazy teammate not doing anything but undoing my work, we got in a fight and she's been ignoring me since then. I complained about her to the teacher and he had the kindness to tell her to stop being so unprofessional and he reorganized the tasks himself so that we could still make it in time. Alas, he did so Friday so we still didn't have much time, and she's still ignoring me. I literally need the other guy in my team to tell her what I say and tell me what she replies, like in those kids cartoons. She's that freaking noxious. Anyway, I spent the rest of the class helping the one good teammate I have do some last-minute changes to the AI project while the others left early to pout, despite them having told the teacher earlier that I keep on leaving early. Irony is sweet. When I got out of the bus, I saw that my mom was waiting for me at the corner of the road so I shut down my computer and we left to spend the evening at my uncle's place before depositing my grandma at her friend's place and leaving to the motel. T'was a pretty busy and not-so-relaxing weekend but God did I need the break, and I could have used another one. In the morning, we went to brunch at a family friend's place, then went shopping for clothes. I wanted to get clean pants since I'm sick of jeans, I needed two more shirts and one of my boxer pairs was starting to fall apart already because of a washing machine incident. My mom also convinced me to buy black socks because I'm the only one in the world who likes white socks. So I got everything and... she didn't let me pay the 122$ worth of clothes. Dangit I hate it when she does that, clothes are expensive.

Once we were done, we spent some more time at my uncle's place then left to one of my mom's childhood friends to eat Raclette. T'was my first time eating it and I think it's just too slow, I prefer fondue. Talked with her kids about recent video games and played SSBB, Just Dance 4 (ridiculous, ridiculous game) and Michael Jackson, it was a pretty awesome evening and all the activity made that night easy to sleep through. Sadly, my mom and grandma had to leave the next morning so I spent the rest of the day testing my grid scanning and raycasting algorithms, trying to fix some bugs. I think I managed to fix them all today so I wrote my report before realizing that my printer didn't have any paper left, and I actually finished all the tasks the teacher had assigned me. Now I'm ready for the final week and full of energy. Also helps that my mom brought me my memory foam mattress so I hadn't slept that well in a long, long time.

Tomorrow we hand over the AI project, I my individual report and we do a 25 minutes presentation. Wednesday I hand over my animation project and we have the final exam. Thursday we have the final rendering exam and finally, Friday we hand over the UI project, I my individual report and we do a 25 minutes presentation. Go go go!

Oh yeah, and Final Fantasy XIII finally came out on Steam Wednesday or Thursday so I've been playing that since I came back from forced vacations. It is as people say, terribly linear and repetitive. You just walk through narrow linear paths in ridiculously recycled paths, mindlessly killing stuff with an overly simplified yet unfair combat system. I heard the game finally starts branching out about 30 hours in... once you've beaten the main story. I for one certainly hope it gets better and if not, I hope XIII-2 will be better once it comes out on Steam in probably half a decade. If it gets too boring, I've preloaded the new Borderlands game today and it comes out tomorrow so I might just start a game of that, too.
