My wife's 91 year old grandpa had a stroke three days ago.

For the forseeable future, she and I are staying the night at her grandparents' house (grandma is 89 with a bit of dementia, and grandpa is 91, now a post-stroke patient with a lot of issues).

We're in a bad financial situation - we've had to do a lot to make sure we'll be able to stay here, given our own physical conditions. Her grandmother needs the internal house temperature to be between 80 and 95 at all times due to her physical issues regulating her temperature.

Heat does very bad things to both my wife and I, and as you all know, my wife is also a stroke survivor. Heat and stress are not good things for her. We need to buy one of those portable air conditioners for the room we're staying in just to make sure that SHE doesn't have a stroke.

We're the only ones who have the ability to do this for her grandparents who both of them trust and recognize on sight no matter what.

Anyway, we're having to buy food - not just for us, but for grandma and grandpa too, half the time. I have to take more pain medication than usual to be fully functional at any moment when either grandma or grandpa needs me. My wife is here so I can take care of HER as well.

What it comes down to is that I'm now in the position of caring for three people - four, including myself - two of which are nearing end-of-life situations. We're very aware that we very well may be keeping up this arrangement for the rest of their lives, however long they may be. And...I need help.

I can take commissions, but as I am rarely home where my computer is except to sleep during the day, there will be a severe delay in their completion.

Basically, I really...really need some financial support. I know I'm doing a seriously good thing, karma wise. I know I'm doing the right thing by my family...but I still have bills to pay, and am in the six to eight week waiting period for the decision from Disability. (The hearing went well, my lawyer thinks.)
