The Sims 4 is good, you guise by DeRiften

Tuesday: A whopping zero students in class managed to make the command lines work, so the teacher said it wouldn't count. We then started the next part of the project and this is where the team part starts. After the class, we had a meeting in my teammate's car since it was too freaking hot even with the fans on so we figured AC would help us think and the seats would be more comfortable. We brainstormed on what to do both for the AI and UI part, decided what to do and they agreed to let me distribute the tasks since I'd led the best team in analysis, then scheduled another meeting after class Friday, before going on our ways since methodologies was cancelled this day. I used the extra time to make phone calls about my late grants and ends up the tarts at Emploi Quebec didn't fill the right forms AGAIN and registered me as a regular student, so I had to manually reapply for a grants renewal and they said if I were unlucky and had to post 'em forms, it'd take 7-8 weeks before I saw my money. Of course once I hung up, the landlord figured it was a good time to ask for the rent money. I told her about the situation and she wasn't too happy or understanding about it and was expecting me to just pull money out of my ass so I told her to speak to me again once she came back from the moon and she's been pouting me since then, even though I have the money sitting on my desk.

Wednesday: Received a message saying my renewal didn't need extra forms and that all they were waiting for was a confirmation from the college that I was still there. Went to get my monthly massage and right when I stepped outside, my shoulders got a huge cramp that lasted a good two days and gave me a headache. After doing the groceries, I was planning to start working on my ray-tracing algorithms but because of the pain and, of course, the heat, I took the day off instead.

Thursday: I was feverish and it took until half of methodologies before I felt decent again. Rendering was useless and uneventful, of course. Methodologies, on the other side, was pretty awesome and we learned about Perforce which is freakin' useful for everything. I'll definitely use it again in the future, especially since most of the industry uses it.

Friday: We were planning to spend the class working on the UI project but with perfect timing, the beta of Unity3D 4.6 came out and the new thing in it is a brand new GUI system that basically makes the entire project and the semester project obsolete because it's so easy now, so I redistributed the tasks to make 'em more equal and we worked on the AI instead. I also received my Dragon Age book that takes place after Dragon Age 2 and explains the back-story of a character that's gonna be in the third one and seems to be loved by many who've read the book, so I'll be sure to read it slowly and finish it before I start the game.

Saturday: The Sims 4 came out and I was planning to get it on Steam when it got on sales, but it's only available on Origin so I know it'll never have a discount. I bought it and spent literally all day playing it. It's good enough, definitely the best on PC and realistic enough that I could actually live out my life. I mean, my guy started out as an aspiring computer whiz and he eventually turned out to eSports gaming instead. He became a champion but then became too old to win gaming competitions so he retired and became a cook instead. Alas, the better the foods he cooked, the fatter he got but by that time he really needed the money so he kept going and getting more famous, which gave him even less time to exercise so eventually he managed to save up enough to take a long vacation that allowed him to exercise intensively and this is where he found out he really liked to play the piano and guitar. On a whim, he quit his job as a famous cook and started doing musical gigs in small places till he got recognized. The extra time allowed him to keep exercising regularly and make a lot of new friends. Now he's old but still has a young heart and he likes to wipe the dust off his old computer every now and then to see what the latest games are about. I also read the first chapter of the book and sure enough, it's pretty promising so far. Decided to read one chapter each day before going to sleep, should take about a month before I'm done.

Sunday: Kept playing The Sims 4 for a bit but then I started working on stuff. Did my animation homework, watched a pretty awesome tutorial about blend shapes and Mecanim, which was the new feature in Unity3D 4.0 and makes animation a piece of cake. I found the algorithms I need for my ants' path-finding and will incorporate them to the code tomorrow. I then did some research with a teammate to figure out how to use command lines in Unity3D and as opposed to the ants, it ended up being a piece of cake; we just need to make a demo and send it to the other teammates who will do their part of the project. Now I'm gonna go read another chapter before going to bed.
