I'm still about, silently lurking and watching the goings-on.

Since my last journal here, I have moved back to Roswell,New Mexico with a (then) 6week old. And did all the driving of out F250 while my Husband drove the Budget truck and towed my Element. I was so tempted to ditch my MiL at some rest stop in the middle of no where...Instead of our usual 20-22 hours it took four days. We are currently living in some ghetto apartments that just experienced a drive by earlier this week. Luckily DV, Sniper, and I were all out of the apartment when it happened. I had come home a short while after the police showed up.

Since our return, we are in the process of buying a house. It's 4 bedrooms/3 bathroom and one hell of a deal. The houses around it are smaller but are in the $2-300,000's range and we will be paying around $127,000 when it's all said and done. The only issue is this house is stuck in the early to middle Sixties, complete with push button light"switches", wood panelling, Dry bar, pale pink bathrooms, and that uniquely sixties yellow countertops. So it's a bit of a fixer-upper, but it's only had the one owner. It also has an underground secret room just under the laundry room and kitchen. It's roughly a ten by ten bomb shelter complete with four bunks and basic medical supplies. Right now we are just waiting on the Underwriter and the VA Inspection.
