So, this concept and idea is AWESOME.
5 women who had never made a video game before were picked to pitch a concept. Pitches were made for them, and people can vote on their favorite. Through an indiegogo campaign, money is being raised to pay people to work on the game that wins. All 5 games are neat (the afterlife one being my fav), and have visuals etc. etc...
This is to help boost female game designers in the industry, nothing more. I can't donate at the moment but check it out :D
https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-fine-young-capitalists--2#home The funds are also being given to a charity (as of now not yet named, or I missed it).
The campaign has been hacked as a result of a particular person crying foul on the contest for not properly understanding the rules (and constant harassment) , so it has hit a lot of bumps and could use some positive vibes. :D
Even with something as awesome as this there's always gonna be some negativity. Something this big in the gaming industry always comes with boos and ahhhs. I go to a gaming meet up once a month where we learn about the game makers in the area. Sometimes I get to test some games XD (I dont' get paid, it's all in good fun)
This sounds like a pretty good project, even though I can't contribute, I wish all the best to them. I like the afterlife game the most too.

That's fine. 4chan has been shoving money at them for a bit. Really freaking roflworthy.
