Blah Blah Blah

Belle, my new puppy, has been keeping me pretty busy. @.@" I just finished a 4 and a half hour long stream to try to play "catch-up" from this weekend. Still lots to do but I've knocked a couple of smaller commissions out of my queue and one larger one. Yay! I also made some nice progress on a larger one. Checked out my Trello linked above for my WIPs and other projects I may be working on.

The Furever Freelance contest is over. The winner was the little morkie that I've done commissions of twice already. He's just so fraking cute. I also personally picked this cat that's absolutely adorable...but I announced that everyone who participated is getting a free portrait/bust from me of their pet. I felt bad that out of 13 entries, only 3 were really in a serious voting battle, and all of the pets submitted were adorable. It will be nice practice for me, and I can use them as examples later too. Lots of work ahead of me!

IRL stuff...Belle is adjusting super well in our home. Lilo adores her. They chase each other around in the backyard and Belle is starting to pick up some of Lilo's quirky habits. I think they really were meant to be "sisters". Belle is starting to get some new coloring in that we didn't notice before. Some of her tan markings are developing into some white so I can't wait to watch and see how my little stinker grows! (seriously...she farts all the time. She's worse than me, which is an accomplishment)

I won't be working on too much this coming weekend. My birthday is coming up(August 16th/Saturday). I'm taking Thursday off since I'll be celebrating with my family then. I'm off work Thursday-Monday so I can spend time with my girls(Lilo, Belle, and Reesie) and work on some art when they're napping. Hopefully I'll open back up to more commissions in a couple of weeks but I'll need a break once I get this queue done!

Additionally, before I end this lil' journal...RIP Robin Williams. I held back some tears during my stream when I saw the news. He's been one of my biggest influences, as I'm sure he has influenced so many people through his acting. Maybe I'll do some fan art of Batty Koda or something...because..well, he's one of my favorites. :love: I listened to his rap sequence from Fern Gully just after my stream...had to get it out of my system.
