So... I just got home from seeing the movie Lucy, and holy shit is it amazing... Think Limitless, but with more sci-fi elements and awesome special effects, and that's basically what you've got.
That being said, I loved Limitless as well, but I think Lucy takes the cake by far..
I wish I could describe how much I enjoyed it beyond that, but I feel it's one of those movies that you really need to see for yourself to grasp the entirety of how awesome it was
~~ POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!! STOP HERE!! ~~
I know there have been some (unfounded and ridiculous) claims of the movie being 'racist' or some bullshit like that, but without giving too much of the plot away, you've got a young, blonde, blue-eyed girl (Scarlett Johansson) who gains 'Superpowers' for lack of a better word.. (Seriously, Just cause the main character is blonde and has blue eyes, does not = Aryan/Racial Supremacy references...), who at one point in the movie is almost sexually assaulted by an Asian (Yakuza) man (I mean, come on.. It's the Yakuza, of course they're gonna be assholes), and then there's the very, and I do mean VERY loose attempts at saying she 'disproved' the work of a black scientist's (Morgan Freeman) life's work, which is completely false, in fact, she proves his work is on the right track (albeit, he's got a long way to go)....
All in all, I loved the movie, and I will more than likely be buying it when it comes out
