Foxcrest by DeRiften

I'd start the journal with "Whew, am I tired", but I realized I use that one way too often. We left before noon this morning, but I still had time to watch some old sci-fi movie from 1956 and it was hilariously bad. The sound effects, aww man. We started by looking for yard sales since there was supposed to be a few this weekend, but apparently they all stop on Sunday 'cause there was nothing anywhere, and my mom used a list from the official yard sale site. Went to Wal-Mart, got me some new soap-based deodorant which sounds pretty neat. I mean I thought only gross gel and useless spray existed, hopefully the soap one will be better.. and the Foxcrest one smells awesome! Also looked for new shoes and slippers since mine are starting to fall apart and smell bad, but there weren't any my size there so we went to a specialized store that conveniently had discounts going on and there I found some pretty neat shoes and slippers for 40$ (shoes were 50% off).

After shopping for a while longer, we went to the cinema to watch Hercules in 3D expecting yet another insult to Greek mythology, but it ended up being the best Greek mythology movie by far and that for one very, very ironical reason: it took the realistic way and reinvents Hercules' story while doubting the legends about him. But I found out that my new glasses make it so I can't see the 3D in movies, only a very slight depth effect.

Finally, we went to my uncle's place to eat fondue, and I tried horse & kangaroo meat. I was expecting something pretty unique but once cooked, both tasted like beef so that was a disappointing (and expensive) experience. The rest of the fondue was awesome, though; I'm still stuffed hours later. Now if you excuse me, I'll go collapse now because it was a really long day and I'm simply exhausted.
