A black man broke up a fight between other pedestrians, police come and arrest him.
When he resists even the slightest amount (by saying "don't touch me, please" and pulling his hand away), the cops jump on him, put him in a chokehold, and slam him to the ground. The man, an asthmatic, can be heard screaming "I can't breathe!" When he goes limp and unconscious, the police call for paramedics.
He was unarmed, nonviolent... they arrested him for supposedly selling untaxed cigarettes.

Capitalism at its finest. Don't you dare duck taxes if you're poor and struggling, but oh, GE didn't pay federal taxes because of corporate loopholes, that's fine. Don't you dare try to get ahead even a little, because your life isn't worth as much, apparently, as the taxes from a few cartons of cigarettes.
Disgusting and heartbreaking.
