I just got back from California last night, and it was a great trip overall. Got to go to the San Diego Zoo (finally) and Knott's Berry Farm. I ended up getting some really cool souvenirs and a couple temporary tattoos. I ended up not taking very many photos though, unfortunately.

The highlight for me was the reptile pet shop near my aunt's apartment. They had a lot of cool stuff that wasn't just the regular vanilla things you normally see at Petsmart and such, and everything was actually priced reasonably (a normal ball python was $30 instead of $85+ like in a general pet store). They had the sweetest little female blue-eyed lucistic ball python there for $800 (normally that would be at LEAST $1000), and my mom actually got her for me under the condition that I pay her back for half of it over time as I can. I named the snake Tranquility, and she'll be shipped to me soon.

Now, as most of you probably know, I do not have a job. I dunno how the job market is elsewhere, but where I live, it is incredibly difficult for someone like me (young, female, and no job experience) to get a job anywhere. I have a good shot at getting one in a pet store come autumn, but I really need to pay off this snake as soon as I can. I do have a terrarium setup already prepared for her, but it'll only be good for so long. I would absolutely love to get a pretty setup with white and blue décor and basically make it like a piece of art, since the snake is so beautiful.

Obviously all of this means that commissions are going to become my top priority for quite some time. The comic, let's plays, remixes, personal art, and everything else is going to have to take a back seat for a while until I can save up and pay for both the snake and a permanent setup. Obviously, I'll still work on the comic, but it'll continue to be slow unless I get more tips. In total, I'm looking at at least $550 or so that I'll have to save up. I am in need of commissions (and hopefully tips + donations) more than ever. I am going to IMMEDIATELY start clearing out my queue and taking more commissions, and I'll be trying to get through them as quickly as I can without losing any quality. I'll probably start working on commissions in streams a lot more often in order to do this, and hopefully I'll get new customers that way, too. I'm also probably going to be making more adoptables to auction off, and I'm heavily considering starting up some YCH auctions as well.
