Mom has been off work since december due to an injury. She has gotten short-term disability, but it is only 60% of her pay. Rent went down, as well, but since rent was only 30% of her pay, she is coming out with less money in the end. But they cut our food stamps, saying she now makes too much for us to qualify. I seriously don't know how they calculated that one. I know she received a lot of back-pay after they had trouble accepting her disability, so the stub she turned into them showed more than 2 months in pay. We told them that, but our case worker still refused to talk to us face to face.

We've not made money at the shop since christmas. Usually what I made there would help us make ends meet, but since we have made literally nothing this whole time I highly doubt I will be able to make enough to pay for our groceries. I am also still in no condition to do art commissions.

So what is a family supposed to do? Starve? We usually hit up food banks when we can, but they don't give you milk, fruit, fresh veggies, and all those important bits. So. idk. if someone has an idea, I'd love to hear it.
