Post-Anthrocon Journal by PunkJax

I had a really good time.

Anthrocon is one of those few events that remind me to live in the moment but still make an effort to mold out my future. There's so many people I look up to that are, in one way or another, successful in what they do (or at least in my eyes they are). As an artist, I feel that while I have some skill and experience, I have no style and no drive to call my own. I always fear that my entire being is parts and pieces of what I enjoy from other people, mixed into a small awkward ball of "how do i talk to people"; being in Anthrocon reminded me that "hey, the people you look up to are kind of like this sometimes, too" and it's pretty relieving.

I find it amazing that it takes hanging out with people pretending to be animals and creatures to remind me how human we all really are.

I also didn't get too inebriated which is a shame, but also kind of relieving (but still a shame).

TLDR

I hung out with quite a few people, and in some cases just kind of said "hi" and left because WOW AC IS A REALLY BUSY CON. I also ate subway and pizza a lot, which is a shame because there's a lot of good food places in Pittsburgh. I look forward to the next con; it seems I get less awkward each time anyway.
