Reel 2012 - Should I Show You? by Vet
If I show my animation reel I made to you guys, it'll include a lot of personal information (phone, e-mail, blog), and I'm not entirely sure if I want to subject myself to opening up or blending my online world with my real life world.
What do you guys think? Would you keep that information private and make sure not to use it against me? You think it'd be a wiser idea to keep that private?
What's your take on all of this?
Would you reveal your personal information like that online to share it with your followers/friends, or would you think it's a bit naive to just whip it out willy-nilly like that?

I think what I'll do is personally send my reel to people I trust enough via note or messenger. Thanks so much for your input though, this helps clarify a lot. I feel very much the same way, and am very wary on how I tread online. Still, I'm pumped to have it all done!

yeah, this is a better idea. I prefer to keep a huge firewall between my anthro work and my professional work.

I has no sound on my laptop so I wouldn't be able to hear anything, just view. I would keep it private if you showed me. And I think that you should make the decision to share with those you might like to share with. It's not easy to open yourself up especially when there are so many scammers around. I keep my FA life as close to in character as possible save for the journals I rant about when I need to. Most people that don't want to read it won't read it anyway and never know me, the real me, in any way. Trust is not easy to give out or come by. I can understand why you would post this, asking it too. It can't be easy especially when you WANT to share, but are scared of what also can happen. It's a risk, it always will be.

While it'd be cool to see, I've seen a whole lotta crazy on the internet (especially where a lot of furries are involved). My opinion would be to stay on the safe side and keep a comfortable separation when possible
