Today my parents found an injured bat that had been brought in by one of our cats. It was slightly larger than a ping pong ball and was so weak it could barely flap its wings. I tried to nurse it back to health. I used cotton swabs soaked in Gatorade to feed it. I figured sugar-water would be safe to feed it. I let it lay down on one of my socks inside of a pet carrier. Unfortunately it died about an hour later. I tried my best, but I can't help feel a bit sad.
