I Love That Dirty Water, Boston You're My Home by TeezyBird

So I'm in the process of moving back to Massachusetts. I'm very, very happy to be heading back home. I have a lot to say about Idaho and none of it's too kind. (Except that my fiancee's family are all wonderful people.) I'm moving back in with my parents for a while until I can get my own place, so unfortunately I wasn't able to take any of my kitties and my collie, who technically all belong to my fiancee's family and have a very happy home there but we were welcome to bring any of them with us when we moved, since my parents are allergic to cats and my doggy back home (Who I'm very excited to see again. My childhood pup.) is a bit dog aggressive, which does make me sad. I'll miss those obnoxious but severely charming creatures, though on the plus side those animals all do have a loving forever home and I guess this means I'll be able to offer a home to a shelter kitty and doggy when I have the means to do so.

My bird, my four rats, and my two mice, who all truly belong to me and my fiancee, get to come with us though. Unfortunately a mass transport of rodents isn't really acceptable on most airlines so we're having to do this move via road trip. It's the fourth day now and we're in Ohio for the night. My pets are all doing wonderfully, my dove continuing to astound me with how little she's phased by everything, but the stress is starting to get to me. Oh well, I'll be back home in a couple of days.

I've also been pondering changing my fursona. I want to keep her a gryphon and want to keep her overall design the same but the pink color scheme I use on her, much as I like it, looks rather odd with the pieces I've been doing lately which tend to be a little more realistic than my past work. I also want to make her seams a little more obvious, like more distinct avian forequarters with mammal hindquarters, a bit of homage to the taxidermy career path it seems I'll be taking. Right now I'm playing around with the idea of an osprey with bobcat butt. I feel a pretty strong connection to bobcats, the osprey would do well to represent my connection with wetlands, and also those nice spotty stripes on a bobcat would make for a lovely fursuit.

Ah well this whole thing is very tl;dr, I'll get back to locating those pencils I packed now.

Cool, I just made the road trip east from WI to Boston-ish last week over 3 days. If you're in Ohio now, I imagine you're going to stop somewhere in NY tomorrow? Great bbq place in Syracuse if you're into that kind of stuff.

What's the BBQ place called? If I'm passing by I'd love to check it out.

Dinosaur BBQ, right in downtown (though be warned they're doing a lot of construction work in the city). We stopped overnight there, though, and just walked so we could have a lot of bbq and drinks. Totally worth it.
