How it Works:
You review the track(s) above you. Once you've written a review, you may post a track [b]1[/b] of your own for others to listen to and review.

The hopes is that this journal will give people a space to both expose there music and collect constructive feedback to help them improve their song writing skills.

However, anyone of any skill level is free to join.

1) Format of your post:

• ~Name of SONG/ARTIST that you are reviewing~
• ~Post link(s) to reviewed track~
• ~written review~
• [OPTIONAL] ~Post info on YOUR track (genre, length, etc.)~

2) You may submit 1 track to be reviewed. The track must either be your own, or something you helped make. Once you post, you are not allowed to submit another song. (In the case that you have to hide your post, please let the admins know you reasons. We want to prevent abuse)

3) You have to review the track(s) above you (you do, however, have to review the last post before yours. This is mandatory. This way, everybody will at least have their track heard once)

4) As far as content of the reviews goes, a simple 'that one part sounds good' kind of response is not enough. Describe the songwriting, composition, mixing, mastering, pacing, creativity, execution, mood, tone, emotional impact, etc. etc.

• You do not have to type 5000+ words, but you do have to provide an honest and through opinion of what you.

5) Be positive with your criticism. Rude behavior will NOT be tolerated and you will get your ass banned from this page.

6) Use legible English, for God's sake. Every goddamn web browser has some form of spell check/grammar correction, so save yourself from looking like a moron and use it.

7) DO NOT START GIANT CONVERSATIONS IN THE REVIEWS.
DO NOT START CONVERSATIONS IN THE COMMENTS.
You can definitely respond to compliments, praise, criticism, etc.

• BUT KEEP IT TO A MINIMUM.
• PLEASE!!!

If discussions should arise, please take them elsewhere (notes, to the track page itself, etc). Starting conversations clutters the journal space and defeats the purpose of this thread.

8) If you cannot review tracks following these guidelines, do not submit a track. Don't waste people's time.

1. Q: Do I have to submit a track to review other people's music?
   A: No, just be sure to mention this.

2. Q: Does the age of my track matter?
   A: Not at all. Post whatever you want, as long as you want constructive feedback on it.

3. Q: What happens if I post something that I need to take down?
   A: Do what you gotta do, but if you get a chance please explain to us why you did it. Again, we want to prevent abuse of FAMU's post and content.

4. Q: What happens if I make typos?
   A: When you re-post, be sure to mention that you made a typo.
