Honestly it's making me a bit depressed to see so many adoptables popping up. I've noticed more and more artists are relying, or trying to rely, on them for quick cash. Making simple bases and throwing shit on them then selling them...ugh, adoptable bore me! Like, I understand why artists make them, I understand some kind of collectors value behind some adopts, and I understand they are easy-ish to make and some people really like them. I did in the beginning, but now I see them too frequently and I'm getting tired. I prefer auctions of single unique characters cause they are always different or at least more different than adopts for the most part. Idk, I've dabbled in adopts and haven't gotten anywhere. I didn't really try much at them, but still. I just want people to enjoy making art and get paid for something that they didn't alter over and over and over again. Meh, these are just my feelings right now. I'm not trying to offend adopt makers, I just love your original works and miss my inbox filled with those rather than a list of the same thing for sale :\
Might I suggest sites like Fiverr for quick cash? Perhaps Patreon for dedicated watchers? Unless you're having a lot of fun with making adoptables, please try to find other methods of income through art :C
