I'm so excited and so nervous all at once.

I got a notification from my Lawyer - I received my hearing date for Disability.

It is, oddly enough, September 11th. I choose to take that as a positive thing - SOMETHING good has to happen on that date eventually.

This is it, this is the home stretch. I just have to make it through the next two months and then I'll finally know for sure if all this pain is actually...well...worth something tangible. Nearly three years, I've been embroiled in this process. An end being in sight - and my lawyer being confident that he'll win the case for me - is like this huge blinding light at the end of the tunnel.

In other news, I'm back on regular physical therapy. They've started with electro-stim on my back to loosen and relax muscles before I work them out, which helps there be a lack of backlash pain after the workout, though it feels damn weird when they're doing it.

They also have me doing ten minutes on a recumbent exercise bike so that the pedals force my left leg to go higher than it would naturally go with it's pinched nerve. The idea being that the workout may eventually make the nerve slip off of the bone spur that it's caught on. I hope it does, because if it doesn't, the only relief I have to look at for THAT issue is surgery.

So, that being said, I only have two more months before I'll know if I have to keep living month to month and feeling desperate all the time. Please send me positive thoughts that I'll win the case.
