Whew, Steam summer sales. I spent 44.87$ on the first day and cleared a good chunk of my wishlist, so I won't be bored for a while. Well, even if there weren't any sales around, I still wouldn't be bored this weekend since I have plenty of work to do but I don't expect to have much trouble with any of 'em (meaning I'll no doubt get stuck on both of 'em). If all goes well, I should be able to do my physics project within just a few hours, then I'll keep having fun with my audio project. I already started it and it's a lot of work, but none of it is really challenging since we use game and audio engines this time, meaning the hardest part is done automatically. I just have to place the things and make Unity cooperate with Wwise, and also actually learn how to use the latter. From what I've seen, it doesn't sound too complicated so just a few hours should be enough for me to get the hang of it.

That's a lot of "just a few hours", right? Well here's the fun thing, I don't have classes Monday or Tuesday since it's gonna be National Day, so I have plenty of time to work on it. Heck, the audio project we continue next class since we haven't learned all we need to finish it yet and if that's still not enough time, I have Monday and Tuesday off the next week, too! Overall, the most important thing to do this weekend is the physics project, and then at least the graphical stuff in my audio project. I'll dedicate part of Tuesday to study for my final analysis exam Wednesday, but even with all this I'll still have quite a bit of time to play the games I've gotten.

I bought Castle Crashers and played it for a bit, but either it's meant for coop or I really suck at it. I also bought Goat Simulator and although it's hilariously amazing and one of the best things ever, I did everything that can be done in barely two hours so that's disappointing (especially since it's the most expensive game I bought during the sales so far). Now I'm playing The Last Remnant, a RPG from Square Enix that isn't Final Fantasy. It has really bad reviews and a rating of 66% but for 2.50$, I figured it might be worth trying out and... well it's pretty dang good. I can see why it has such a bad reputation, it's really hard and relies too much on luck but I find myself really liking it exactly because it's hard. The combat system requires fast reflexes and a sharp mind, you can't just rush everything since you need to know your own limits, and grinding will just make the game harder for you so you have to find a balance between levels and stats; overall it's kind of like the Dark Souls of modern RPGs.

Other than that, I had a AI exam yesterday so I studied for a good three hours and finished the exam within an hour. I didn't expect it to be too tough since we've learned pretty much nothing during that class so far because the teacher is a broken down robot with defective AI who I'm 100% sure didn't pass high school since he literally can't write a single sentence without making 10 typos in it, but I didn't take chances and studied what little we learned anyway. Sure enough, the exam wasn't too tough, so I celebrated with some pizza and wine while catching up with streams. Speaking of exams, remember how I said I was about 85% done with my audio project before I had to hand it over? Well, I received the note and I got exactly 85%, so it looks like I was right with my estimation :P
