Integrity and a small reminder by RedBirdBlueBird

-reminder, if you're not interested in auctions, please ignore this first paragraph. I posted a new character auction late last night, three seperate characters with no bids as of yet, they're to help me pay some bills (rent, elec, and phone) so if you're interested, here's the link: https://www.weasyl.com/submission/634830/character-design-auction -

With my recent adoptable auction to help pay for some bills and my Adobe CC subscription, I hit a bit of a snag. Although part of the blame for my problem can be placed on me for placing work for sale online, where not much can be guaranteed of other people, and as well for trying to start these auctions practically straight out of the gate with not much of a community built up, some of it is my reliance on the integrity or I suppose commitment of other participants.

In layman's terms, my snag is that the person who's won the auction has not yet contacted me, and although I've yet to try contacting them in any other way than the website they submitted the bid on, I don't feel like I should have to chase people down. I've already altered my auction rules a little as well as offered it to the other participant, who is giving the other person the benefit of the doubt and a little extra time, which I admire.

If you've had any experience with payments from other people not going through, or having contact cut off after making a commission or auction deal, let me know what you think! What would you do here, or what have you done?
