My writing might not be thoroughly researched. As a science major, I've learned the importance of proper research and citation. I've also learned that our brains are pretty stupid. They evolved to jump to conclusions and make quick judgments to help us survive giving us hardwired biases in the way we typically think. So idle speculation is pretty much worthless for helping me or anyone else understand truly understand things. Without thoroughly researching something I can't assure myself that I'm giving you accurate information about a subject. And misinforming my readers is the stuff of my nightmares. But if every one of my informative journals has to be as researched as a Wikipedia article, I'll never have one finished. I want to post a series of journals about epistemology (the study of how we know if what we know is true), but in the meantime, unless my journal has citations to back up the claims I make, please keep in mind to take my word as mere speculation.

"But if every one of my informative journals has to be as researched as a Wikipedia article" is a statement I find amusing.
