Until I get some reference sheets up, this journal will serve as my character references. For myself, since I don't like to work from strictly text and I'm sure other artists don't as well.

Pierre
A magpie who speaks in riddles. 7 feet tall. Anthropomorphic. Feathers serve as fingers and hands. Standard magpie colors. Voice is like a parrot mimicking human speech, i.e., not very refined.
-Serves as the messenger of Dog.

Dog
A human-like being who wears a dog mask and does not speak. Makes a lot of subtle gestures. Is oddly polite and formal. 6 feet tall. Dog's mask is black with large bright red rubber tongue hanging out. Only Dog's eyes are visible (and yellow). Wears suits and other formal wear. Hands are slightly larger than human hands, with claws in place of nails.
-The antagonist, if there were one. Has a history with the protagonist.

Ghost & Cat Sith
Human with a pet cat. Ghost is a non-binary feminine person with long dark hair, brown eyes, and olive colored skin. Wears glasses. She is around 20 years old and has acne scars on her face. A nerd. Wears loose and baggy white clothing usually. Works at a record store. Has a pet cat. As a mythology nerd, named it Cat Sith (or "Sidhe"). It's a solid gray short hair cat with green eyes.
-The protagonist, probably.

That Weird Dog
A very large Newfoundland-looking dog. Has a broken chain wrapped around its back leg. Dark orange eyes. Very spectral in appearance, fur is more like smoke than actual fur. Does not speak or bark, has no affiliations. Just walks around and fades away whenever. Ghost is the only one who hasn't seen it. Cannot cross running water.
