So, college for me is coming up in August. I am extremely excited to attend, but finances are getting in the way and scaring me at this point. I am attending college out of the country (Sheridan in Canada) and I need to be able to prove that I can pay to get my student visa by June (just ONE month). Unfortunately, I have absolutely no help from family and there's a chance the school will not accept federal loans this year (I find out in a few days). There's a slim chance that I can cover everything with private loans, so I'm going to be working around the clock to try and gather aid and make as much money as I can. This seriously means the world to me.
Right now my commissions are OPEN, unlimited slots, until further notice. Contact me via private message on Weasyl or email me at RooibosArt AT gmail DOT com.
Note: Email works better for me at this point. I'm trying to migrate to using that more because I receive the messages to my phone and it allows me to continue to reach you if Weasyl is down for a few days.
Updates for commissions can also be seen on my Trello. I update it constantly!
If you feel inclined to help me out by donating, even $1 would mean the absolute world to me. I have created a GoFundMe page to accept donations OR if you would feel more comfortable donating via Paypal, you can send it to RooibosArt AT gmail DOT com.
Signal boosts are greatly appreciated. Any advice you might have, as a student who's attended college out of country, or at all, would be as well! Thank you for reading!
Def. getting something from you!! Just have to decide on what and how much I'm willing to spend, hhh
In terms of college: if it will be anything like college in the USA, there are TONS AND TONS of resources at students' disposal--it's crazy, and people don't take advantage of them. Keep your eyes and mind open and ask lots of questions if you're looking for help with something. Chances are there's something on campus that will be able to offer assistance. Here at my university there are tons of opportunities for free tutoring, advising (personal and career), free workshops for life skills and the media center will even burn DvDs from VHS for free. Not to mention the events that happen around campus (might be different because my town is a total college town) but there are all sorts of things happening all the time, career expos and guest speakers and movie nights! I usually stop to read the flyers posted on the walls every once and a while to see what's happening :) it's totally worth it.

Interested. Is there a type of commission you aren't willing to do right now??
