DragonX 12 by DeRiften

Nothing much happened during the weekend. I did a little homework and started a new game of Dragon Age Origins with over 60 mods, as well as watch a lot of streams and videos. Today though, I've had my first rendering class and it's pretty neat. We started learning how to use Maya, a 3D drawing software (which ironically makes me a real artist) and DirectX SDK (development kit), which is awesome since yanno, DirectX is used in almost literally every game. Thing is, even DirectX 11 is pretty old (2010) and it hasn't gotten any new updates so I'm pretty eager for DirectX 12 which is supposed to come out soon. They said it wouldn't improve its capabilities much, but that they were focusing on optimizing it and making it much faster and more effective, with higher performance... it's gonna be awesome and you'll really see the quality of games leap when that happens. I mean imagine having the same graphics, but with half the memory required? They'd have more place for... more graphics! And maybe even a higher share of the CPU for the poor, mistreated audio guys who always get stuck with the leftovers.

Oh well, downside of the class is that the teacher speaks and looks normal; no gnomes or golems this time.
