There are some things that I don't understand about fur anatomy. I know I'm not an expert on this subject but there's still things that make me go ??? Like, digitigrade legs on bipedal subjects. Those types of legs aren't supposed to be for bipedal movement, they help push back for quadrupeds, and the feet are entirely too small to help balance the body. You'll just end up with something wobbling around because it doesn't work. Another thing are tails and tail positions. Tails could go as an explanation for digitigrade legs as a counter balance, but for that you must a stiffer tail that points directly down. Smaller cat/dog tails become pointless at the advent of bipedalism. They would get in the way and just be a mass of useless weight. BUt that's not my biggest problem, what really gets me is the connection of the tail to the spine. So many artist put the tail perpendicular to the spine and it's just ???????? why???? the tail is part of the spine, it should move downward, over the buttocks and come to an end. This applies to the thicker kind and more cat/dog-like tails, and as for the thicker tails, they shouldn't start at the top of the butt, but should be part of the cheeks because iof they are not, the anatomy won't work and that would be too much mass in the back. NOw to a different subject that really make me cringe. When porn appears on my notifications or when I see some on the front page, the whoole sheath-thing on males has no advantage what-so ever. It's the thing where the penis is connected to the pubic region, why??? It's not at all helpful for urination, they'll just end up peeing all over themselves. And it's not at all good for reproduction, their dick is pointed up, I guess it could work theoretically, but still ???? That type of male anatomy only belongs on quadrupeds 'cause at that angle it works. IDk I've just been thinkg a lot lately a lot of issues have arise. NOw I could be completely wrong about all of this and what does it really matter? Thjei not real anyways and I must admt that I've done some stuff like that. Just ignor eme

I think in situations like this, it's best to ignore logic and focus on aesthetics.
Does everything need to "make sense"?

To me it does. You can only make things believable if you make everything have logical sense. A writer may write about how characters look, the history of the setting and the ethical views of characters. But why? Some of that is not needed, but it helps with proving its reality. It shows that though this may not exist in any time, but with this information, it gives the reader a sense that it could because it works just like ours. I want things to make sense, I don't want total abstraction. I want my creations to be believable, I want things to make sense because if they don't, how can you prove its reality? Everything is ruled by law, even in chaos, there are laws governing chaos.
