Hand-rolled pastel stick: Success! by quoFALCON

It took overnight to dry out, I believe I implemented a little too much water to the mix, so it took much longer than I thought. You have to dry over night if applied too much liquids, otherwise it probably wouldve been ready under four hours. The thicker the sticks are the longer the dry process. Pastels (soft/dry) are pure pigment, and its hues are sometimes more rich than wet paints, and lot of fun to blend. Theyre like chalk but cooler.

I used a pestel and motar to grind the pigment from left over paintings.

End result: It works like a brand new pastel stick. Soft and firm, brittle and easy to crumble, very powdery once applied over paper surface. I had a lot of leftover light blue and red pastel dust so It was enough to make a new stick, about an inch or more long and around half an inch in thickness.
