stressedstressedstressed + future commission info by Krio

guhhhhhhhh
real life stuff has got me all kinds of stressed out.
My presh bby Sushi who has been with the family for going on 8 years now (1 of our 3 dogs) suddenly got really sick.
Well, I shouldn't say suddenly,
we've known she's had crystals/stones in her bladder for a few months now and have been buying over the overvthe counter stuff and medicine to help combat it because the surgery to fix it
is $700 (and we hadnt even moved into our own place at the time we found out so that wasn't really an option.)
They seemed to be working decently enough, but recently (as in around 3 days ago) she's started acting really sick. Loss of appetite (real warning sign for her since she adores food), slow movements, constantly slumped tail and the first night was the worst with shivering and painful moaning/whining (though thankfully that's stopped for now).
What little urine she does get out has trace amounts of blood in it, but it's become a bit more diluded thanks to her drinking pure coconut water and peeing a bit more
but guhhhhhhhh the whole thing's just had me pulling my hair out stressed/worried recently =A=

If my job hunting prospects were going better I'd probably feel less stressed, but theyre on shaky ground as it is atm behhhhh

So I guess just a heads up, after I finish these two sketchpages I've got in my queue right now
I plan on opening up
2 more slots
at $45 each
and continue on like that until I've saved up enough money for her surgery!

So yup, if ya'll have any advice or such I'd love to hear it! Or hell if you think I should open up different commission types at $____ , comment away bc I tend to be a bit shit at pricing sometimes But yeah, just a bit of a heads up to all of ya~

Please take her to the vet ASAP. It sounds like a blockage, and a ruptured bladder is a horrific way to die.

yeah we tried to get her scheduled for a visit already but it' $90 down (which I have) but $300 if she's admitted, and we've gotta wait for my ma's paycheck to come in for that.
Doesn't much help that there's only the one clinic in town so it's our only option.

Damn, I paid $90 total including meds when my cat was sick. He wasn't this bad, just an intestinal infection, but still.

Do you know if they take Care credit?

oh wow that's cheap as hell for me, where do you live?? The last time my Sushi was sick when she was a puppy she had a sudden bad case of tonsillitis and luckily we had an emergency vet in town but all in all the visit cost us over $500. I'll have to check because I didn't even know about Care credit so thanks for the link!

I live in Arkansas, so a pretty cheap place to live.

E vets are always horribly expensive just like human emergency rooms.

You're welcome! Care credit is basically a credit card, but it could save your pup's life in a pinch, and you can make payments!
