Argh. by sinereous

I. Last week a friend/co-worker of Myca's was hit by a car getting out of the bus. He was an older gentleman and had trouble walking and apparently couldn't dive out of the way quickly enough. He died in the hospital yesterday morning.

II.We are inundated with cats. Maddy is a rescued Persian that we had brought back from death when Myca was in the States with me, a cat we'd once before and then brought all the way to Canada for my in-laws when I moved here. Well, she is now 15 and got a cold ( a real "I can't breathe" sinus infection, not the kitty- sniffles) and they didn't want to pay for it once they learned she needed antibiotics (if you know the background story for this then you know how ridiculous it is but I will leave it at this for public) - so they abandoned her at the vets office and we ended up having to foot the bill AND now she's living with us. So we have a sick elderly cat that is stressed out and does not want to be here, and I don't blame her. This is not her home, but we're the only ones right now that can make her well again.

There are other things going on I'd rather not bring up in public but this is enough to get the point across.

So this is why I am slow, and I'm so very sorry, but I am still working on things when I get a minute. I haven't forgotten and I know this is slightly unprofessional of me, but life has to come first in this instance. If you really have a problem with this please email me or note me and we can work something out, but otherwise things are about 60% finished and I do plan on getting them done. Thanks for understanding.

Art is wonderful, life is vital. You can't always do one when the other is mussed, while the reverse is hardly true. @..@

Very true! Thanks for that :)

    Sorry about your friend.
The cats however ... That's more or less how we ended up with four, two tripods, a feral stray and one who had litter box issues. Sometimes it's tough being the responsible one.

It does, but I'd rather do it than not. She deserves that much <3. This will make six though, which is over our lease's limit, and unfortunately the poor thing is also deathly terrified of other non-Persian cats. Right now she has her own room, but what we're going to do when she's recovered (if) I have no idea x.x .

Thank you for being the sort of person to do that. That's awesome of you.

Six, woof ... that's a lot of litter. Good for you! In our area we have a couple of rescue groups that will allow you to advertise and 'show' fosters for adoption. Hopefully you can find something like that in your area.

Indeed haha. We go through roughly 50-60 lbs every other week and constant upkeep as it is ( I refuse to let it smell, can't stand it). I don't mind, but there's a point where it tips the scale. Right now we're focusing on keeping her alive but will attempt to rehome her if she pulls through. At 14 though, I am not sure about where to go, but local rescues are probably our best options.

fffff, I'm sorry things are so rough for you guys right now. :c Your well-being comes before art!

Thank you <3. We always pull through, we're stubborn like that.
