Virgin Australia flight 41 from Brisbane to Denpasar made an emergency landing after an attempt was made to breach the cockpit by a drunken passenger, the Boeing 737-800 landed without incident and the drunken passenger was arrested. The pilots on board thought their plane was going to be hijacked, and broadcast a SQUAWK 7500 (or Hijacked), however a spokesperson for Virgin Australia said that the aircraft, en-route to Denpasar, said that the aircraft wasn't hijacked as initially reported by Indonesian Metro TV, the aircraft involved remains on the ground at Denpasar Airport. A passenger on-board a Garuda Indonesia flight due to depart from Denpasar, said that 'The captain on my plane made an announcement saying we were delayed indefinitely because a hijack was going on in Bali airport about 150 metres from us. I saw at least least 5 military-style vehicles, filled with men in uniform, rushing towards the plane. The the Virgin plane taxied away followed by a convoy of security forces. The flight attendant said that it was heading to a different part of the airport. Bali airport seems to be in lockdown, we've been told no planes will be departing or arriving. The pilot's not allowing anyone off our plane."

A teenager who ran away from his home, managed to scale the perimetre fence at San Jose International Airport in California, and then climbed into the landing gear of Hawaiian Airlines Flight 45, a Boeing 767 bound for Hawaii, amazingly the teenager survived five hours at 25,000ft where the air is very thin and is as cold as -80F. He was taken to hospital and his parents were informed.
