Home Stretch SP2014, Cleanout Ops, WiiU by KronoGarrett

School:

It's that time yet again. The end of semester...shamble? Power Electronics II was lousy, with a useless adjunct and the return of the dreadful Mohan textbook. I'll get a good grade, at least. I'm so glad I had Dr. Villaseca for Electromechanical Energy Conversion and Engineering Electromagnetics, and Dr. Morinec for Introduction to Power Systems, because if I hadn't had the solid, passion-igniting start in those classes I would really be struggling right now.

Art:

I'm currently evicted from my room and kind of busy. At least I have somewhat of a buffer right now, and I might be able to get something inked while I'm a temporary resident of the dining room. My scanner is packed away until my room is repainted (see below).

Cleanout:

The wallpaper is off my walls and most of the adhesive glop has been scraped or scrubbed off. My parents and I made pretty good time on things. Current Status. Time to sand and spackle. The painters should be the ones doing this, but since they've suffered schedule slip and everyone's been chomping at the bit to get things done...we'll probably be stripping the wallpaper in the front hall next weekend.

The PAiA synthesizer, 25-key MIDI keyboard controller, dragon mask, and two plushies have sold. But I have a few more things I'm going to offer here and on Weasyl for the next week or so before I put them up on eBay

The other attempts to reduce clutter have resulted in a few items I'd be eager to sell:
-Greatfang Partial Fursuit ($450+shipping)
http://i.imgur.com/Z1JHkYs.jpg
Made by CZGoldedition/Redtavern. Balaclava-type head with moving jaw, partial arm sleeves, gloves with resin claws, belt tail, worn for a few hours at ColossalCon '12 and ColossalCon '13. It sat on the top shelf of my closet because it's a bit too small to fit my head and puts excessive pressure on my jaw. All it needs is a once-over with the vacuum cleaner's upholstery brush, and it's good to box up. The head should fit someone with a 21-22" (53-56 cm) head (My head is 23" (58.4 cm) in circumference and rather long.) The gloves should fit hands that are a size 9 or size 10. I'll ship outside of the US, but it's a real drag for outsize packages.

-Cuddlekins 39" (95 cm) Tyrannosaurus ($40+shipping)
http://i.imgur.com/XJJtTRt.jpg (I don't have any good pictures of it with the stuffing in it. Huh.)
A destuffed Cuddlekins Tyrannosaurus, freshly laundered, from a pet-free smoke-free household. 39 inches from nose to tail, about 22" or so tall in its typical seated position. All you have to do is add two or three kilograms of fiberfill, sew it up, then redo the detail stitching on the feet. I advise khaki or tan thread for this one. I can ship this one internationally too since it's both compressible and light.

IT Services:

Thoroughly abused by a late night "Nii-chan, I want Boot Camp set up by tomorrow morning!" Windows 7 requires a USB 2.0 thumbdrive to install, the newer 3.0 drives will give it heartburn. I set up a 100GB NTFS partition (tiny 250GB drive), installed Windows 7 Pro, Microsoft Office 2010 (I have a site license) and AVG along with the small mountain of software updates. It was done at 0433 this morning, and after three hours of sleep, I'm thrashed.

WiiU:

I have a Nintendo WiiU now, although I've been too busy to do more than nibble at Nintendo Land. Hopefully I'll find time to dig into Super Mario 3D World and a few other titles in the next few weeks (in addition to finishing up a few Wii titles.)
